The port is formed by of an outer harbour, a merchant port, a fishing one
and a tourist landing place which develops in the stretch of sea opposite Viale
Regina Elena. It is protected by a 275 meter breakwater from which some floating
landing stages branch off.. The sea bed is muddy bad keeper, depth is from 3 to
8 meters.

light flashing every 2 seconds, 8 mile range, on the tower of the previous
beacon; 3150 (E1976) flashes red every 3 seconds, 8 mile range, on the head of
the outer breakwater; 3151 (E1972.2) flashes red every 6 seconds, 4 mile range
on the eastern end of the cliff of the fishing port; 3153 (E1979.4) flashes
green every 4 seconds, 3 mile range, on the western end of the tourist landing
place breakwater.
